Jay McGrew

Jay has been in the auto service industry for over twenty years. His first job out of high school was in a Pennsylvania wrecking yard, where he reveled in taking cars apart and learning about them from the inside out. Over the years, Jay has taken a more profound interest in car repair, developing a special like for Japanese makes. After settling in Seattle, he became an ASE Master Certified Technician in advanced engine repair and performance, exhaust, brakes, electronic systems, suspension and steering, heating and air conditioning, and manual and automatic transmissions.

Jay's biggest source of pride is Superior Auto Service. Over the years he has worked to make the auto repair shop successful, and strives daily to uphold the service commitment and quality that form the basis of his work ethic. In a world where mechanics are considered shifty, Jay is trying to change that image one car repair at a time. His happiest moments are when a customer comments on his team’s professionalism.

When he's not working on cars and worrying about his shop, Jay is with his wife of ten years, Joanna, their two sons RJ and Eli, and Ruby, their chocolate lab. He is often working on home projects, boating, camping, hiking, or fishing. An active member of Rotary International, Jay devotes as much time as possible to his community.

Charlie Baleé

Charlie is usually the first person you meet at Superior Auto Service. As Service Manager, Charlie is the knowledgeable liaison between customer and mechanic. Charlie is always happy to explain things to you in an understandable way, and he cares about you aside from your car problems.

More than twenty years ago, Charlie got his start in the automotive field as a parts driver. His knowledge, friendly demeanor, and organizational ability have helped him to develop a loyal customer base that depends on him for their automotive needs.

After work Charlie is a "dad" to four Siberian Huskies named Chloe, Sadie, Maggie, and Kugar. When he isn't enjoying the company of his dogs, Charlie is a sports fanatic with a taste for American brews. GO SOUNDERS!!!

Chris Burcham

As a child, Chris was always fascinated with automobiles, especially custom built hotrods and racecars. His Grandfather owned his own repair shop, where he got his "feet wet". As a teen his hobby was to modify and fix cars, but it turned into a career. His training included hands on, on the job training, and plenty of evening and weekend courses in local colleges. He is certified as an ASE Master Auto Technician and is also Washington State Emissions Certified.

As an Auto Technician at Superior Auto he has many tasks including electrical diagnoses. He enjoys working at Superior Auto because he believes the people who work at Superior get along very well and all have similar goals regarding their profession, which is getting it right the first time.

Chris has many characteristics that appeal to the shop. Chris is friendly, easy going, patient, honest, and straightforward. He is skilled in his profession and loves to help people resolve their automotive issues.

When Chris is not working, you can find him rebuilding his car, playing a guitar, or playing with his computer. He has been happily married for twenty years with a son and a daughter.

Sarah Ager

Sarah started her love affair with cars when she was twelve years old. Her brother's friend had a hopped-up Nova that changed her forever. After one ride in this muscle car, she knew what she wanted to do and eventually got into an Auto Tech class in high school. After high school, she worked at Seattle International Raceway on the weekends. Most of Sarah's training was hands on with a combined thirteen years experience including: Seattle International Raceway, Olympic Brake Supply, and Elliott Tire & Service.

At Superior Auto Service, Sarah serves as a go between for the customer and technicians. She loves dealing with clients and makes them feel comfortable and supplies knowledge on the process behind what their auto needs. Sarah loves the atmosphere here at Superior Auto and also loves helping customers solve their automotive problems.

In her off time Sarah likes to spend time with her family, including her nephews and dog Rudy. She also enjoys bible study, geocashing, and working out.

Robert Gillett

Robert started his love of cars at age twelve, working for a Winston West race team owned by a family friend. After high school, Robert attended Universal Technical Institute and graduated with an Associate Degree in Auto/Diesel Technology. With twenty-four years of experience in the auto industry, Robert has achieved ASE Master Automobile Technician, ASE Master Medium/Heavy Duty Truck Technician, ASE Advance Engine Performance Specialist, and is Washington State Emissions Certified. Robert enjoys working at Superior Auto because of the relaxed atmosphere and the friendly nature of his colleagues. In his free time he likes to relax and spend time with his wife and two daughters.

Colby Hendrick

Colby has worked in the auto industry since high school, where he worked at Jiffy Lube. He has seven years of experience in the auto industry, and is a knowledgeable, polite, and confident employee. Colby enjoys the low-stress and supportive environment at Superior Auto, and he likes working closely with the rest of the staff. Colby has his Associate Degree in Auto and Diesel Tech from Universal Technical Institute, as well as his ASE Master Certification. In his free time, he goes camping and boating, and likes to work on cars.

Geoff Hovde

Geoff Hovde has worked at Superior Auto for three years, where he is a hardworking, knowledgeable, and the go-to-guy for getting into tight spaces when working on vehicles. Geoff has his ASE Master Certification as well as his Washington State Emissions Certification, and he graduated from Lake Washington Technical College with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Auto Repair. Having six years of experience in the auto repair industry, Geoff enjoys working at Superior because of the professional and caring environment, and he prides himself on providing quality service and repairs. Outside of work, Geoff spends time hiking, fishing, and being with his family and friends.
